What ideas or advice did you gain from this event on how to get started in the industry?

In this event we learned about a great company- Fujitsu. It is one of the leading IT companies in Australia right now. I learnt what are the different opportunities present in big companies like Fujitsu in IT sector and how to approach them. They discussed their ‘graduate mentoring’ opportunity which helps a selected number of students to refine and develop skills by working with experts. There was not any central key theme to the presentation. The main idea was to introduce us to a great company like Fujitsu and about their graduate mentoring opportunity. The company sounds really great with their respect to diversity, their environmental consciousness and commitment to innovation.

What do you feel was the key ‘Takeaway’ point of the speaker’s presentation?

Through this event ACS helped bring a understanding of the ACS and its great IT company like Fujitsu and passionate candidates together role within the ICT industry? and provided platform to network and connect, which is ACS’s main role in IT industry.

How was the event topic relevant to your internship or future work?

It was quite relevant to my future work as I got introduced to a great mentoring opportunity in Fujitsu and to develop contacts with people from industry. I could also understand the IT corporate world in a better manner with their various policies and gained valuable knowledge about IT through the trivia questions.

Other Comments, learnings, observations or feedback

I have gained good insights from this event and have applied to the graduate program and hopefully get in to it and I wish to attend such events more where we could interact directly with the employers.
