A More Perfect Union Movie Review Paper...
Movie Response: A More Perfect Union I was initially concerned that this was going to be a boring, old movie, and I was dreading suffering through it. History has never been a favorite subject of mine, but after watching this film, I am more interested in the facts of how our nation came to be the way it is today. There were more than a few things that I enjoyed about the film. First, I enjoyed the explanation of how the new government would work by showing it with the cups. The visual representation made it easy to follow along. I was previously aware that the states were all there to amend not abolish the Articles of Confederation. I had previously thought that all the delegated had decided this prior to arriving at the convention. One thing I found interesting was the fact someone would suggest something and it would be voted on right then and there. I thought there would have been more explanation of ideas, but everyone seemed to know everything already. Toward the end, when the Constitution was being read, I thought it was nice that it showed a few seconds of various people. I think the producers did this to show that everyone is now able to come together to create a “Perfect Union.” Overall, I thought this to be a fantastic movie. It made history more real and is a great way to gain a better understanding of the birth of our nation and the struggles that came along with it. I think more people need to watch this movie!...
