Class 3 antidysrhyth mic – K channel blocker

Prolong repolarization and refractory period.

Used primarily to treat ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation. Also supraventricular tachycardia.

Common dose: 1mg/min for 6h then 0.5mg/min infusion. Continuous infusion

-Dizziness -Fatigue -Malaise -Ataxia -Bradycardia -Pulmonary fibrosis

Used to treat supraventricular tachycardias

IV 6mg bolus initially; after 12min may give

-Transient facial flushing -Dyspnea
