Describe the stated purpose and the actual purpose of the Spontaneous Demonstration. - The stated purpose of the Spontaneous Demonstration was to celebrate the struggles and triumphs of Animals Farm. The actual purpose of the Spontaneous Demonstration is the honor and praise Napoleon and have the animals follow him because “he led them through to much.” (115-116) 2. Explain Napoleon's purpose in allowing Moses to return to the farm. How is this decision significant for Napoleon? - Napoleon’s purpose in allowing Moses to return to the farm because he told the animals that there was a place where animals had rest from all their labors. This was good for Napoleon because he could allow animals to go there and have “rest”. (117) 3. The animals o the farm admire Boxer. Why? What are the animals led to believe about where he is sent when he is ill? Where is he really sent? Describe Squealer's cover-up of this event. - The animals admire Boxer because he is old and still doing a lot of work. The animals are led to believe that Boxer is being sent to a hospital to get help but in reality, he is sent to a slaughterer. Squealer covers-up the incident by telling the animals that he died in the hospital and that it was a “very moving” moment. (118-125) 4. Analyze the symbolism of the knacker. - The knacker is the person who kills animals and then gives your body to the dogs. The symbolism is to Jones because he is demonstrated as doing the same thing in the text. 5. Over the course of the story, the society on the farm has portioned itself into two classes. What are they, and why and how did they form? - Over the course of the story, two classes have emerged. The first class consists of the pigs. They rule almost everything on the farm in the end and control all of the other animals. The second class is the other animals. They allow the pigs to rule over them and to influence every part of their daily life....
