Introduction Background of the Study Fluffy American pancakes came to us via the sitcom, while in the 1990s and the noughties, diner-style restaurants became popular, bringing with them the concept of brunch, and ideas like mixing crispy umami-rich bacon with sweet and mellow syrup. You need a recipe which works hard to get as much lift and fluff into the pancake as possible: plenty of bicarbonate of soda and baking soda, egg whites whisked to soft peaks, and live cultures such as buttermilk, kefir or yoghurt. Patricia Trijbits, the Dutchvia-California founder of Where the Pancakes Are in London Bridge, uses buttermilk, and says you can use a mix of any flours, from plain to spelt and buckwheat (Morris, 2021) Pancakes are not a seasonal treat, of course. It may be enjoyed at any time of the year, all year round. There are people, though, who crave for pancakes as soon as the weather begins to get cooler - for no apparent reason. Perhaps, childhood memories are the culprit for the craving of those people. It may have its roots back in those rainy days when the children were kept indoors, and mothers had to whip up quick snacks to appease the little tummies rumbling from all the calisthenics on the bed or the couch at the sala. And so, every time it rains or when the weather is cool, the memories come back. Among most Filipinos, pancakes and waffles are thought to be the same stuff, only in different shapes. Pancakes are round and waffles are squares. Or, pancakes are

made in skillets, while waffles are cooked in waffle irons. The tastes of the two are very similar, if not the same (Peña,2016) We researchers identify the product as a solution to the problem of the community because based on the demographic that we conducted the problem of the community are malnutrition and hunger. This homemade pancake product was developed by researchers to provide a unique taste, as well as innovative and healthy toppings for pancakes. To provide a low-cost, high-quality product to individuals within or without the community where our business is located, as well as a solution to the community's problem in Purok 65 Barangay 76-A, Bucana Davao City. The new in our product is that we have healthy toppings and a fulfilling pancake that we all know it’s unusual and unique because in one package we include 3 pieces of pancake. We want to establish this business to give people food to eat that is affordable yet quality pancakes, because of the pandemic that we are facing right now we all know that all of us are suffering in money, so we want to give a product that affordable to all kind of people inside and outside of the barangay where our business located.

Importance of the Study Business improves the quality of life in two ways. Firstly, it provides high quality goods to the people required for their enjoyment, comfort and health. Secondly, a business offers employment opportunities to the people by which they can generate income and improve the quality of life.

MPM Homemade Goods Company objectives are to maximize sales; to maximize the income; and to help combat unemployment. MPM Homemade Goods Company’s goal is to help the community combats malnutrition and hunger in the area; overall brand awareness; and increase the total income of the company by 10% over the next two years.

Methodology We used Market Analysis for the proposed business. The area of the study will focus on: 

Hunger

Profit

We consider the: (a) Problem of the Community, (b) People’s Expectation, (c) Accessibility of the product.
