Study the “Fallacy Help sheet” and videos located under Critical Thinking

2. Practice the assessment quizzes and understand the answers (don’t memorize) 3. Take your study guide and write down your notes to each one in a very short direct and concise manner. Don’t answer them in long paragraphs. You need to understand the material…..

Under the Intellectual Standards: be able to differentiate between them. The best way to do this is to study the squared bullet points under each one. For example, under “Clarity”, which is the gateway standard, the bullet points say  Could you elaborate on that point?  Could you express that point in another way?’  Could you give me an illustration?  Could you give me an example?

Three Categories of Questions: Fact: one right answer Preference: your opinion like favorite color blue, loved your trip to Hawaii Judgement: your opinion, but you answer with critical analysis because the question is debatable, has multiple views, and is significant ….For example: Do you think Business Cornerstone be a required course to graduate from the College of Business? Do you think there be capital punishment? Gun Control? Health Care Reform?
