Introduction This report is to highlight our group working progress and how we relished our strengths and used those to overcome any limitations that we encountered. This will be done by answering three main questions. Which are as follows: 1.
What was one significant strength of you and your team in the group work process and why?
2.
What was one significant limitation of you and your team in the group work process and why?
3.
What did you learn from this overall group work experience that may better prepare you for your life and professional career? In other words, how has your view of working effectively (task/performance values) and ethically (social/moral values) with groups of people changed?

Strength in the Group I believe our biggest strength was the fact that everyone was very eager to do the Presentation and were very passionate for the cause of removing Plastic from the Ocean. We learnt that one of our group members actually used reusable straws and I myself was a bit skeptical about the effectiveness of this. However the member easily explained to me that it was not that hard to use. I think this was also enforced in class when Omar said that whenever you do something do it to the fullest and have a passion for it and not just because you have been told to do it and if you disagree with something then voice it out so everyone can hear your opinion. I believe this was also another big advantage that everyone was open to ideas and didn’t have one stern stance on what things should be, rather, join in on ideas and try to make an idea even better by inputting positive contributions. I think I personally overcame issues of self confidence and detering to perhaps not say something as I would look foolish but I realised that I needed to be wiser about my input as just saying stuff without thinking over it would not make much sense (O. Salim, COMM week 9 lecture notes).

Limitation in the Group Our limitation was actually circumstantial as it was hard for us to find a suitable time where everyone was free to meet up. Since everybody was taking different classes our schedules were very hard. And the days we were free from college, work would pin us down. Thus meeting up was difficult. However many members sacrificed work and some other classes even to be able to get the presentation done. Another issue was the fact that we initially lost a member as they did not reply to any of the messages. However we took that as a challenge and carried on, distributing the work that would have been done amongst ourselves evenly.
Outcome of the Group work experience I personally had not worked in a group of other cultures before and I don't know if I was astonished to notice that there clearly wasn't anything that was different. I think I had an idea that I would need to change my approach or adjust significantly to fit in the group but surprisingly we connected very well. Perhaps this was just how accepting the other groups were but it has taught me that I should always try my best and not feel like things are going to be hard. Another thing that was taught well in our class and it was ingrained in us that even though you may highly disagree with your groupmate you still have to respect others

opinions and not treat them as any less of a respectable person. (O. Salim, COMM week 9 lecture notes). Another Beautiful thing I took away from this was if a group was passionate about a cause they will go to great lengths to prove their point. This was evident when members skipped work and even classes to complete the presentation. Thus, I believe commitment always follows cause. If a genuine cause is brought up people will automatically be committed to seeing it being achieved. I was also shocked to know how efficient group work can be as almost everyone has their own set of skills and thus can bring in their way of doing things. This both helps an individual himself and also the group as new techniques can be found (Service, 2019). Time management and handling responsibility was also crucial in the group. We had to be sure of getting everything done on time and this experience has reinforced those attributes in me atleast (University, 2019). Importantly that if someone trusts you to do something you should not break their trust and try as hard as possible to get things done.
Conclusion So in conclusion, I think due to the accepting and humble nature of all our group members we were able to overcome any obstacles that we came across. Whether it was taking time off work or Video calling during work breaks or coming to college very early to prepare for the presentation was done in good faith.
