I am a big fan of Outer Banks. I like it so much that I watched the series twice and noticed some crucial scenes that can change the series entirely. John B, the main character of the season, lost his father, John Rutledge, in a storm. He was fascinated by treasures, and he was looking for the Royal Merchant, a shipwrecked boat with 400 million in gold. During the search for this treasure, a storm knocked on his ship, and since this incident, he was never seen again. After some time searching for him, the police declared him dead. In fact, in the first season, we can see Sheriff Peterkin finding glasses on the beach. These glasses were identical to the ones that John Rutledge used. The viewers, after seeing this scene and analyzing the facts, conclude that he was indeed dead. The big plot twist is that John B’s father is seen alive on a balcony in the last episode of the second season. We cannot know if he is alive or if this part is just a memory. In my opinion, he is alive and will be one of the main characters of the next season. I would love to see John B and his father together in the future. We see John B and his friends looking for this treasure in seasons one and two, but they always find something that prevents them from getting it. So, in the next season, I think John Rutledge will help John B and his friends find the treasure. What are your predictions for the next season? Do you think he is alive?...
