Summary

It is over a poem written by Benet called Tamara's Opus. It is about his deaf sister and how he never took the time to learn American sign language to communicate with her before she passed away....

Description

Bennet performed Tamara's Opus in the White- House on May 12, 2009 because he wanted to send a message to everyone that everyone is different. I think that the performance was good because he showed sign language for the deaf people and changed tone for certain parts of the poem. Bennet, who did the Tamara's opus does a very good job at and movement because he does the sign language for the blind person, showing that she is blind. He is also doing head movement showing the tone and how the characters would act. He also talks in certain tones to show how the characters feel. He also shows how the characters feel by his body movement. His body movement shows that the characters are feeling and in certain parts they are angry, happy and sad and also confused. He shows confusion with his tone and body movement in the part where Tamara finds out that God just makes some people different. This performance is good because it shows how he does the sign language for the certain parts of the poem showing the characters come to life....
