Hiring Manager: I am applying for the 2020 summer internship program at Free People. I heard about this opportunity from the URBN corporate website, where I was researching internships that combine both creativity and . As a rising Junior and marketing major, I look forward to learning more about the retail and sales industry, and more specifically, the world of buying and sales. I am hardworking, personable, eager to learn, and would make a great addition to Bloomingdale’s. Bloomingdale’s appeals to me because of its focus on hands-on departmental projects and analytics. In all of my previous work experiences, I’ve had great success when making sales, developing creative promotions, and implementing new plans in order to increase revenues. For the past two years, I’ve worked as an assistant manager at a clothing retailer in New Jersey, where I have directly managed four sales associates and a stock clerk. I am responsible for overseeing sales and in-store projects, managing returns, and pitching ideas for sales and promotions. My time spent as an assistant manager has increased efficiency, reduced wasted time and resources, and streamlined the weekly scheduling process.
