Two important business decisions that we made:

Decision #1: We decided that to keep our business successful, we needed to take care of our employees. We decided to pay our employees well above the industry standard and offered twice the amount of vacation time of the national average. We consistently added more employees to each of our store locations based on sales demands to ensure our employees weren’t overworked and could keep up with operations. We also sought out business benefits for our employees and worked to give them the best possible benefits to ensure they were taken care and were showed that Budget Bikes cared about their employment. Our workers were kept happy as we continued to grow and another thing, we applied were incentives. Based on each employee’s sales, if they were in the top 3, they were compensated for their hard work.

Decision #2: Another important business decision was made to conduct international business and open store locations in different parts of the world. By doing this, we improved the diversity of our business and helped put Budget Bike’s wages into the pockets of locals. Budget Bikes is seeking to continue this standard by opening more locations across the globe and hiring local salesmen for continued success and diversity.

If this were a real world business, each of these decisions would be viewed as highly ethical and functional decisions. The business is reaping the rewards of successfully selling a product, but they are also giving back to their employees by above industry average wages and hiring a diverse work force. Every employee wants to know that they are taken care of and benefits are a prime way to show that an employer cares about you. These practices can have increased motivation for employees and inspire innovation and creativity for the company....
