Reaction Paper: Science Education In The Philippines In this lesson, I've learned the concept of science education and the various strategies to promote science education in the country which is the Philippines. I've learned that the main focus of Science education is on teaching, learning, and understanding science. I've learned that understanding sciences entails acquiring and applying science-process knowledge, as well as employing literacy to comprehend the natural world and daily activities. As a result, schools have a huge duty in fostering a science culture. I've learned what is science education in both basic and tertiary education. In basic education, science education helps students learn important concepts and facts that are related to everyday life including important skills such as process skills, critical thinking skills, and life skills that are needed in coping up with daily life activities. While in tertiary education, the goal of science education is to help students get a better grasp of and appreciation for scientific concepts and works. I've learned that the development of science schools in various parts of the country is one of the outstanding programs for science education backed by the government. And there are a lot of government programs implemented by the Department of Education and few private schools for science education. These are Philippine Science High School System (PSHSS), Special Science Elementary Schools (SSES) Project, Quezon City Regional Science High School, Manila Science High School, and lastly, Central Visayan Institute Foundation....
