How do information management systems assist management in implementing quality improvement initiatives? Discuss how practice, policies, and procedures can assist management in enduring continued adherence to proposed initiatives. Information management systems can help in applying quality improvement initiatives by being useful for effective planning and control functions of management. Information management systems can be used to collect, organize and show data that can help use quality improvement initiatives accurately. Management information systems have become high in demand due to the management decision being made regarding things such as social, economic, and technology and this can be exhausting at times. It also helps to improve clinical outcomes and patient experiences reducing costs and making sure performance workflow are running smoothly.

Practice, policies, and procedures can help by providing more information for all staff members. Management can use these practices by showing the appropriate quality of care to patients and their staff while still following standards. Policies are very important as they are the employee’s guideline and is used to answer questions and give answers that they can follow and even have help if needed. It is important to use polices are it helps find outcomes, and guide into a determination that can be shared with all staff and management when needed.
