However, why community service as part of college programmes is important? As a college student, I think there are a lot of benefits that I can get from participating in volunteer work. They include personal development, gain new friends and boost resume and improve job prospects. Firstly, one of the big ways that students will benefit from volunteer work is through personal development. Many students can learn about their personal strengths and weaknesses. Student will get to know their personal actions can make a difference when they working on the projects and getting to see the real life. Through community service, students obtain real-world experience and practice important habits like leadership, problem-solving, and time-management. Additionally, service-learning opportunities can provide the same skills-boosting opportunities as student internships. Also, another benefit that can get is gain new friends. While doing the volunteer works, we can get acquainted with other volunteers .Additionally, if we do the community service at hospital or nursing home, we can communicate and from gaining experience. For example, we can fill the patient's free time with communicate or playing indoor games with them. With that, it can help them be happier since they are in bad condition health. For nursing home also, the old citizens from the nursing home will more cheerful as we willing to accompany and chatting with them. Additionally, volunteers can boost resume and improve job prospects. The truth is that it’s one of the most popular extracurricular activities that students list on their college applications. The people you work with on community service projects will be good people to turn to when the time comes for letters of recommendation. The will be more interest to assign us to work with them when they saw the resume that shows we have participated in community service. This is because, they believe that who is participate in community service has leadership abilities, passion, and character. A lot of the personal development benefits discussed above, such as leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with a team, are things that translate well to many jobs and workplaces. In conclusion, community service among college students as part of college programmes is important as it gives out a lot of benefits as stated in above paragraphs which are personal development, gain new friends and boost resume and improve job prospects.
