PROPOSAL

PROBLEM STATEMENT We might doubt why students going through the same education system turns out differently. If it’s standard then the outcome should be similar in education and accomplishment. The truth is outside schools which negatively impact students’ performance in school. In many B40 communities lack of motivation and clear career guidance is one of the main reasons forces the students to dropout from school even though the parents know the importance of education. The students do not have equal opportunity and resources due to financial difficulty because of that their academic performance effected and even those highly motivated students with big ambition do not get the chance for best education and limits their education opportunities. So, to solve this issue and to show them quality and excellent experience we take them to LIM KOK WENG University and by motivating this student with various careers opportunities and sponsorship in our University and the surrounding campus area they might go home with feeling more energetic with a clear vision.

Vision: Our vision for this project is to be able to bring these kids out of their shells and show them a new environment. With Limkokwing been the most global and international university in Malaysia, bringing them to see the school will show them the opportunity they have in front of them. Motivate them to go to school and fight for their desires and dreams to come true. Coming to Limkokwing, they will be able to see the different people and how everyone is accepted and feels free in the school, everyone from different cultures, races and background and all accepted together due to having the same objective and goal which is to study and have their dreams fulfilled. They will understand that they can laugh and have fun as well while doing all these and most especially their talents will be accepted as their creativity will also be rewarded. They will be able to see the different departments in the school, the classes and workroom, interact with the teachers and students. As well as ask any questions they want about their future career interest. By the end of the day, they will go back home happy and thinking about the amazing possibilities life has for them while striving to do better in life without giving up hope.

Benefits to students: 1. It will broaden students' horizons. These children can broaden their horizons in this activity and understand the benefits of learning professional knowledge to their future work and life.2. It will make these kids think bigger and take a longer view. Visiting such excellent universities, full of hope and confidence in their future, can help them set their future goals and development direction. After this visit, they left the mountain area where they grew up. They see the world outside and their hometown environment is different, so they see their original living environment horizon and ideas have changed, they will be curious about the future, is they have the motivation to study hard, to change their current life.4. When these students come to Limkokwing University, we will warmly welcome them and give them a friendly feeling without making them afraid or estranged from the outside world. Because many children in these poor areas will have some sense of inferiority, which is also very important for us to do. Let them feel the warmth from the city, let these students feel that there is no difference between themselves and children in the city, eliminate their original fear of the city and psychological inferiority.

Benefits to our group members: 1. It can let us full of positive energy, stimulate their love, increase social sense of responsibility, through public welfare activities to exercise their abilities, make more friends. 2. Enrich ourselves life, learn more about the lives of others, and increase our knowledge, develops the mind in the future will be more cherish own life, by comparing to understand everything is hard-won, to cherish life, if you don't have this activity may never understand this.3. By helping these students gain a sense of achievement and existence, they can realize their self-worth and get spiritual satisfaction.4. At the same time, it can also add a meaningful experience to our future resumes and accumulate management and operation experience

Deliverable Students may come from different economic background, but they will have variety of experiences and skills. As country keeps addressing these challenging economic times, the odds that students who come from an economically disadvantaged background is a lot. And this are the key points to deliver our service.

Advocate for impoverished students

Poverty is too complicated for simplify solutions or quick judgments. Many people think its laziness, lack of discipline or weak character but, poverty happens for vary of reasons, which is why is so important that we understand the situation face by the B40 homes. 2.

Transportation

Students will need safe transport to and from the schools. We have a fleet of four buses, with around 85 seating capacity. The buses are allotted different routes, so to cover the whole area in the most efficient manner. The students can reach the school timely, without waiting on the bus for long. Our buses are maintained on a regular basis and you can inspect the buses as well as the driving skills of Limkokwing drivers at any time. The safety issue is our topmost priority. 3.

Welcome speech from the University Board

All arriving student will receive a warm welcome by Limkokwing University board. The university board will give a welcome and motivation speech at the plaza to motivate student to come to school and get education. 4.

School Tour

After receiving a speech from the university board, student will have a full university tour about university facility, classes and environment. Student will get to experience how classes will operate. 5.

Catering

The nice thing about the event is food, we will prepare a casual buffet for the arriving student. As usual, to make sure that they enjoyed their visit to the school. The catering will be hosting at the plaza near the stage and the food will be prepare by our school cafeteria.

Transportation back home

After the event, Student will be transport home by the bus that they arrived with. Our team will be present in each bus to make sure that they will depart safely at their home.

SUCCESS CRITERIA Project Triple contraints Scope, cost and time are the three basic measurable success criteria used to indicate the key performance of a project in achieving the goal. The main objective is to deliver the project on the time stated, within budget allowed.

Scope Every team member are expected to follow the work breakdown structure and the programme objectives is aimed to be achieved to produce is good quality of work.

Cost The proposal of organising trips for the students to visit our university LIMKOKWING, the management is efficient to provide bus service to fetch them. The more sponsors and investors are interested, the less the expenses would be used to fund this project which means lower risk of financial crisis.

Time The project should be completed within the time given while ensuring good results approved by the students. Each task given should be carried out on time adhering to scheduled Grantt chart to prevent delay in the date of completion.

Quality To motivate the students with extraordinary explication that will show them their career while winning the students trust and attention.

Deadline /Plan/Approach As a result of the ongoing state of emergency in relation to the covid-19 pandemic, the group decided to relinquish the 28th April community service presentation requirement. Due to this, the group will not be able to do the presentation and submit the community

service project on the due date. Withal, we have decided to monitor the situation and the impact of the covid- 9 while the group are working to arrange alternatives for the report. The approach used by the group in this community service proposal is to split the most relevant sections of the report among the thirteen students who agreed to work effectively together to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. The approach to the proposal or literature is to wait for the recent pandemic to curb so as to make the short trips to visit the various under privileged students within our jurisdiction.
