BSB111 - Business Law and Ethics Semester 2, 2016 - End Exam DATE, TIME ROOM and DURATION

The final exam timetable has been released. Have a look at your Personal Profile on QUT Virtual for the date, time, and room. Note: these details may change and it is your responsibility to check for changes on a continuous basis right up until the exam date itself. The exam is of 2 hours duration. There is also 15 minutes of perusal time, during which you may make notes on the exam paper only (not in your answer book)

FORMAT

The exam is worth a total of 50 marks (50%). All questions must be answered. Some questions have sub-parts. Marks are clearly indicated on each question, so plan your time accordingly. All answers are written responses, and are to be written in the booklet/s provided Answers should be written in the format taught in class - that is, state the relevant law, apply the law to the facts and state a conclusion. Of these, the Law and Application sections are more heavily weighted than the Conclusion.

CONTENT

All material from Lectures 7 to 13 (inclusive) is examinable.

TYPE

Restricted open book exam – You are permitted to bring notes into the exam on 2 x A4 sheets of paper (double-sided) to assist you. This sheet should have your name and student number on it and it MUST be handed in with your completed exam. There are NO formatting restrictions on the page of notes, i.e. there is no word limit and there are no restrictions on font, font size, margins, line spacing, etc.

WHAT TO BRING

Blue or black pens, pencils, pencil sharpener, rubber/eraser, student ID. Calculators are not required (nor permitted)

DICTIONARIES

International students may bring in a paper translation dictionary but only if it is unmarked. If the dictionary is marked up at all, it will be confiscated and you will be questioned. If the marks relate to the exam, then disciplinary measures will be taken. You must, therefore, make sure that your dictionary is not marked in any way. You cannot bring in Law dictionaries or electronic dictionaries.

DEFERRED EXAM AND SPECIAL CONSIDERATION

All Deferred Examination and Special Consideration applications must be submitted online by students at the following site: http://externalapps.qut.edu.au/studentservices/concession/ Please ensure you complete and lodge this form online (with appropriate documentation attached) prior to or within three working days of the examination date. Important Information 1. Approval to sit for a deferred examination should be regarded as a significant concession and students will not be granted an unlimited number of deferred examinations over the course of their studies. 2.

Students approved for a deferred examination must make themselves
