Metallurgy is the technique of obtaining and treating metals from the obtaining of metallic minerals, which also studies the production and control of the processes that are carried out.

Metallurgy is the branch that takes advantage of science, technology and the art of obtaining industrial metals and minerals, starting from some of their ores, in an efficient, economical way and with a safeguard to the environment, in order to adapt these resources to benefit development and welfare of humanity. The metallurgical industry is one where various activities related to the transformation and treatment of metals are carried out, with which a significant number of products are made tha t are used in different areas.

THE IMPORTANCE OF METALLURGY IN PERÙ The importance of metallurgy in Peru is of utmost importance in development in the socio-economic context. in which it has an accelerated development, with clean technologies and with a more traditional production. Metallurgy has a great contribution to the development of the country such as in economic income through the taxes that are collected from some of those that belong to this field of metallurgy.
