HUMAN RESOURCES AND EMPLOYMENT LAW Abstract As Christian business practitioners and academics, it is essential to consider both primary and secondary goals. The title of Hardy's book is taken directly from a quote found in the Apocrypha, which he quotes at the beginning of his book. For Christians, the Genesis 1:27 quote can be used to promote a mindset in Human Resource Development (HRD) as a critical focal point for any business. The divergent perceptions of HRD held by traditional and administrative thinkers and modern and strategic thinkers can significantly impact organizations. New hires and other workers should receive equal treatment under the guidelines of EEO laws, which is the responsibility of HRD. Human resources management can be applied in a myriad of different ways in business. The best methods of HRD should be implemented to benefit upper management and their culture.

HUMAN RESOURCES AND EMPLOYMENT LAW

Christian Worldview in Strategic Human Resources and Employment Law Keller Claims that Work is Intended for Cultivation and Service Keller's book states that the work should be tied to God's work, and a part of his insights is to see work from both the perspectives of cultivation and service (Keller, 2012). There are so many Christians who have vocations in the business sector, and they should not only focus on the employees they manage in the corporations but also on how business practices impact the development of the individuals God created in his image, which was meant to fulfill his mission over the years. Academic and business studies have confirmed that employee engagement is critical to company success (Eldor & Vigoda, 2017). As people created in the image of God, people must use their work to continue their mission and help others. Humanity is blessed to reflect God's image, and they have a purpose of worshipping Him. People also have to serve others to accomplish this kind of fit, and in doing so, our work is a service to God (Keller, 2012). From a biblical perspective, human resource management is the most relevant subject in business about human work. Many business leaders take a long-term investment approach to managing employees, focusing on developing their most valuable asset: their workers (Feffer, 2017). By reinforcing the workers and cultivating their characters, this point of view will benefit the company. It is also their job to oversee how business procedures influence the people they employ. The position should serve as a reflection of God's creation and a blueprint for the year ahead. The focal point of the image should be emphasized. Academic and business communities need to start playing a more active role in their employees' enterprise or risk a decrease in productivity. Commitment from employees is an integral part of employee efficiency, and practitioners and researchers are beginning to understand this better (Feffer, 2017).

HUMAN RESOURCES AND EMPLOYMENT LAW Fulfilling one's creative mission is made possible by performing one's profession well. All people are made in the Creator's image. Life provides humans with an opportunity to worship God and to be in his image. Other people must be assisted in their service to God. People's prosperity will stem from creating a great culture of humanity (Keller 2012). Human resources help workers to be more engaged in their workplace. The Bible contains several rules relating to business ethics. Journal argues that business ethics rules guide moral standards for the employer and worker relations. The way employers treat their employees can be successful and polite. Companies must take care of their employees by offering good wages and a good working environment (Feffer, 2017; Valentine et al., 2019). Hardy’s Quote and the Bible Provoke Christian Worldwide Regarding HR Although Apocrypha is not part of the protestant Bible, it still has some teachings. Ecclesiasticus or Sirach 38:34 declares: "But they will keep the state of the world, and all their desire is in the work of their craft." Such a declaration is of considerable importance when looking at the work in the world in general. Therefore, Hardy quotes from this verse to introduce his book, and it is clear that his book is based on this same extract. This quote coincides with a passage from the Bible to influence the Christian worldview thinking about HRD as a critical business concern (Hardy, 1990). Quotes from Sirach 38:34 and the teaching from Genesis 1:27 encourage people to reflect on the earth's origins and man's place on it. These two verses demonstrate how God commanded men to populate and conquer the earth. They help people do their job to keep the world spinning as they do God's work. A corporation's human resource department is an essential factor, but the Christian worldview of the world depends on the expertise of its human resource department to sustain a state that is tremendously affected by its contributions.

HUMAN RESOURCES AND EMPLOYMENT LAW From a Christian worldview perspective, HRD can serve as a business focus for various reasons. The guidelines for treating others that come from the principles of the Christian worldview can provide an organization with a set of standards. There is frequently a misapprehension or neglect of human capital by organizations. The formal organizational structure makes the employees feel dependent, submissive, and passive and requires them to use only a few of their less critical abilities, according to Hardy (1990). Christian business professionals and academics will find these purposes valuable due to the positive impact on best practices or business processes. Lessons learned from the Bible can help individuals avoid making career and personal life mistakes. Business people can be shaped into who they will be in the future through their work. Differences Between Traditional and Contemporary view of HR The divergent approaches to human resources that characterize the "traditional view”, and the "strategic view" can significantly influence the scope of a business. Under traditional HR, employees are kept in line by managing their labor relationships and resolving their problems. There is minimal emphasis on staff development, and there are no precise task details provided to staff members. The team believes that employees will learn on the job from the senior staff and thus will catch up with their responsibilities (Bos-Nehles & Veenendaal, 2019). Human Resource management's strategic role is to support the company by contributing to recruitment and training efforts. Traditional human resources concentrate on the present workforce, but contemporary human resources focus on the organization's future by predicting how many employees will be needed and what skills and knowledge they will require. Strategic HR also plans ways to train and develop current staff members to raise their job prospects.

HUMAN RESOURCES AND EMPLOYMENT LAW The various factors introduced in each strategy can also explain the differences between traditional and administrative and contemporary and strategic views of human resource development (HRD). Human capital's role in fostering growth and innovation is paramount, yet traditional HR departments have failed to recognize this fact. As these HR strategies revolve around doing something for employees, the Christian worldview is a good fit. A biblical principle that is quite popular is "Love thy neighbor." It would be better to say "love your employees" in this situation. Despite the advantages and disadvantages of both of these HR strategies, upper management ultimately determines which strategy best fits their organizational culture. The organization can increase the involvement of its employees once it has chosen its strategy. Proverbs 14:2 explains that hard work always yields a profit, but only idle chatter leads to penury (King James Bible, 2017). The Lord explains that diligent effort leads to success, while laziness only results in poverty. The Christian worldview contends that businesses have to make and enforce rules in order to be successful. Businesses must also have a moral and ethical approach to financial decisions while taking on this project. Equal Employment Opportunity and Labor Management Statutes inform HR Practices Managing human resources is highly influenced by equal employment opportunities and status levels in labor and union management. The goal is to discover discrimination, unfair practices, sexual harassment, and gender styles in the labor market. The EEO laws assist businesses in making sound moral and ethical decisions. EEO's job is to minimize various factors that affect a person's chances of getting a job by behaving unethically. Employment equality means something to employers and employees alike (Valentine et al., 2019). There is a rising trend in the number of religious discrimination complaints, which has been happening since 2007 (Bos & Veenendaal, 2019). Managers must make long-term plans when tackling such an issue,

HUMAN RESOURCES AND EMPLOYMENT LAW and conflicts of this nature must be carefully addressed. Those who believe in their religion while at work are more content (Keller, 2014). Employees will be given a voice to offer employers feedback about issues they cannot otherwise discuss with their bosses. If employees are not happy with their employer's treatment of them and think that unions will improve their working conditions, they will unionize. The Bible presents several variants of the concept of justice and the necessity of a level playing field in the Union. God made man in his image. Genesis 1:28 tells humanity to be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it. One of the most apparent methods of God's love for humanity in the Bible is the need for equality and unity. On Ephesians 4:32, Christ calls his followers to be like children, gentle and humble, and so do the scriptures (King James Bible, 2017). Thus, equal employment laws make employers more appealing to qualified and committed employees because of the added value of safeguarding their rights. Furthermore, the law also required institutions to reduce the risk of discrimination cases against them. This law allows organizations to be more inclusive and enable people with more diverse backgrounds to be creative. Conclusion HRD involves the continual development of people in a company. Keller (2014) and Hardy (1990) define Christian business ethics in their publications. People who use ethics and morals in their work-life will generally find better outcomes in their organizations. HR is traditionally more concerned with administrative aspects. HR is having to adapt to organizational changes and prioritize employees as the primary driver of company success. It is possible to avoid being discriminated against by employers when there are EEO statutes in place. Valentine et al. (2019) provide a novel contribution to this discussion by stating that human capital is the

HUMAN RESOURCES AND EMPLOYMENT LAW primary determinant of an organization's success. Organizations that understand that people are their most important asset will discover that their workforce is engaged and their bottom-line profits are significant.
