Who is Frederik John Perry? Frederik John Perry also known as Fred Perry was a British professional world-famous tennis and table tennis player who lived from 1909 to 1995. Fred Perry won three consecutive Wimbledon Championships from 1934 to 1936. But he became especially known in Britain when he won the 'career grand slam' at age 26 in 1935 when he won all four major singles titles.

Fred Perry's History In the 1940s, Fred Perry was approached by an ex-Austrian football player named Tibby Wegner. Tibby Wegner had invented there first sweatband. Frederik Perry and Tibby Wegner then started working together to be able to launch the sweatband, which was the first product in Fred Perry's brand. Their next idea for the Fred Perry brand was to produce a sports jersey, namely the Fred Perry polo shirt. The polo was launched at Wimbledon in 1952 and became a huge success among the people. At this time the polo was only in white and targeted specifically as a tennis polo. In the 1950s, demand began to increase markedly, and the polo became available in several colors. The polo was popular with both athletes and non-athletes.
