Friends can be toxic too. Specific Purpose Statement: To inform the audience that you can experience a toxic friendship with the ones you thought they were everything to you. Thesis Statement: Friends make your life meaningful and happier but there are fake friends who can change your whole mood and bring you down instead of building you up. Introduction: I will state both my SPS and thesis statement to the audience and my attention getter will be to show everyone what are the signs that makes someone a toxic friend and for them to be able to realize it. I.

Everyone has those friends who are a big part of your life and someday they helped you though something but that might end, can we recognize a toxic friend from someone that was just having a bad day.

Transition sentence: I made you think about all your friendships now I will help you recognize your true friends from the fake ones. II.

Signs to be able to recognize them. A. Put themselves front and center ALWAYS. (Toxic friends always express what they feel and want the attention but you can´t rely on them to give you support through rough times.) B. Your stress increases. (A toxic friend instead of relieve your stress add more to it.)

Transition sentence: After I showed you, some signs and what those “friends” make you feel now you realize whom you need to cut out of your life. III.

After you realized who is not a real friend you might do something to either fix it or end it for your own good.

Conclusion: Ending a toxic friendship is challenging and difficult but you can get through it with the help of those who really appreciate you, you might put some boundaries in the future and find friends who build you up instead of make you fall down.
