ABSTRACT: As the Philippine Seafaring Industry helps soar the country’s economy through its remittance, the demand for more qualified officers continues to be a problem. Being known as the country with the most number of ratings, the potential of being a seedbed of management-level in the seafaring industry is one of the country’s marine prospect through proper and standard maritime training for more qualified seafarers. Through vigorous research and architectural application, the researcher has proposed a facility wherein it answers the given problems seafarers face during their vacation time on the country. The facility consists of a training center, medical center, transients, and other services they need for them to comply with the requirements of their company they are working to.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT To my mentors and professors, colleagues, friends, and those who contribute in any way for the success of this study, I would like to express my sincere gratitude. From the day when I started deciding a topic for my thesis, I can say that all of my experiences in doing this study will never be forgotten.

Sincerest thanks are also due to the following institutions for their invaluable help as I gather data and insights during my research: Associated Marine Officers' And Seamen's Union of the Philippines, Maritime Industry Authority, Bright Maritime Corporation, and Filipino Association for Mariners’ Employment Inc.

Special thanks to those who helped in developing my solution for this project. To Ar. Carlos Sauco, who mentored me in every progress of my study, you’re professional guidance as my thesis adviser made this study possible. And to my colleagues: Ms. Angelica Balingasa, Mr. Calvin Chuang, Ms. Denise Pangan, Mr. Javed Faizan, and Mr. Miguel Ordoño.

This study is dedicated for all Filipino seafarers, who continuously work overseas for their families and the country. You always inspire Filipinos to work with diligence and perseverance. I wish you all the best as you navigate your lives to a better future.
