Who: Everyone should prevent spread of infection, but especially healthcare professionals. When: As much as possible. Hand hygiene should be utilized before and after coming in contact with each patient. Other aspetic techniques should be considered to always prevent spread of infection as well. Why: Infection control techniques stop the chain of infection through patients and hospital staff. How: Aseptic techniques, hand washing, and making sure that anything coming in contact with the patient is as pathogen free as possible.
