1. WHO IS THE AUTHOR? Stephen Edwin King (born September 21, 1947) is an American author of horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, science fiction and fantasy. His books have sold more than 350 million copies, many of which have been adapted into feature films, miniseries, television series, and comic books. King has published 58 novels, including seven under the pen name Richard Bachman, and six non-fiction books. He has written around 200 short stories, most of which have been published in book collections. King has received Bram Stoker Awards, World Fantasy Awards, and British Fantasy Society Awards. In 2003, the National Book Foundation awarded him the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters. He has also received awards for his contribution to literature for his entire oeuvre, such as the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement (2004), and the Grand Master Award from the Mystery Writers of America (2007). In 2015, King was awarded with a National Medal of Arts from the United States National Endowment for the Arts for his contributions to literature. He has been described as the "King of Horror"

2. WHEN THE TEXT WAS FIRST PUBLISHED?

It is a 1986 horror novel by American author Stephen King. It was his 22nd book, and his 18th novel written under his own name. The story follows the experiences of seven children as they are terrorized by an entity that exploits the fears and phobias of its victims to disguise itself while hunting its prey. "It" primarily appears in the form of a clown to attract its preferred prey of young children.

N WHICH LANGUAGE WAS THE TEXT WRITTEN? IS THERE MORE THAN ONE VERSION OF IT? Originally the novel was written in English, as it was a best seller in its time it was decided to translate it in several languages, some of these were:     

5. TO WHOM IS THE TEXT TARGERED? This work is aimed at a young audience because it shows the main fears of a teenager or young adult.

6. IN WHICH POLITICAL AND SOCIAL SITUATION WAS THE TEXT WRITTEN? The novel is narrated through narratives that alternate between two periods: One in 1957 when Hurricane Audrey knocked down Cameron, Louisiana, killing 400 people, this affects the story as the police confuse the IT murders with the Hurricane disaster that dragged corpses to Derry. The other period was in 1984 when the Unemployment Rate fell to 7.2%, the same rate as when the recession of the early 1980s began in June 1981, this makes the main characters work and live on others countries.

7. IS THE TEXT WELL KNOWN? It is not the only book by Stephen King; It is also one of the best horror books of all time. One of those stories that mark the time, that grows with the passage of the years, and that villain happens to swell the night of unforgettable monsters of the history of literature.

8. DOES THE TITLE FIT THE TEXT? 9. IS THE STORY TOLD FROM A FIRST PERSON PERSPECTIVE? It will also combine different narrative points of view: Third person with omniscient narrator; first person, through the personal diary of Mike Hanlon; third person in present and even second person in present.

10. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS TEXT? In this aspect it is remarkable how King deals with sensitive issues and with implications, such as bullying, racism, discrimination for religious or cultural reasons, and especially domestic violence, both the mistreatment of parents to children and in the couple, being the case of Beverly the most significant, because it makes us angry and suffer with the bad treatment first given by her father and later her husband. Fiction can help as much or more to the sensitization with these subjects that any governmental campaign, and it is to thank the effort of King for it.

Age: 217 years old. Described as a mysterious, eldritch demonic entity of evil, It is a monster of unknown origin that preys on Derry's children and humans every twenty-seven years, stating It finds the fear in children to "salt the meat".

AGE: 13 years old – 31 years old. SOCIAL CLASS: Medium low class. FAMILY: He lives with his cousins, aunt and his mother. (Only child) OCCUPATION: He becomes an important and famous architect. 

EDDIE KASPBRAK

AGE: 11 years old – 29 years old. SOCIAL CLASS: Medium high class. FAMILY: He lives with his mother. (Only child) OCCUPATION: Eddie becomes an important doctor of Portland. 

BEVERLY MARSH

AGE: 11 years old – 29 years old. SOCIAL CLASS: Low class. FAMILY: She lives with her violent father. OCCUPATION: In the future, Beverly violence of her husband. 

RICHIE TOZIER

AGE: 13 years old – 31 years old. SOCIAL CLASS: Medium class. FAMILY: He lives with his parents.

12. WHAT SORT OR CONFLICT IS THE CHARACTER FACING? The main conflict is the fears that all the characters shows, for example:      

Bill sees his dead friends and brother. Mike sees a river of blood. Ben sees his own murder. Beverly sees a big spider with a lot of blood. Richie sees a lycan and a vampire. Stan sees a mummy.

13. HOW IS THIS CONFLICT REVELEAD? IT appears when a little girl tries to find her doll, but IT shows her other beautiful doll, and call her. Then the girl appears without her legs and arms.

IS IT RESOLVED? IF SO, HOW Yes, the problem of IT was resolved when all the character confronts IT with a different tools like glasses, silver, rocks and the most important tool was the valiant of their souls.

15. AT THE END OF THE STORY, IS THE MAIN CHARACTERS DIFFERENTS FROM HE/SHE WAS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE STORY? All of them shows a different personalities, because they changes their lives, their dreams, and then they forget all about their childhood and teens remembers.

16. IN WHAT WAY HAS THE CHARACTER CHANGED? They changes the vision of their life, because they feels strong and winners because they win their own fears.

17. WHAT HAS CAUSED THIS CHANGE? I think that the cause was IT because, all of the characters win the battle, using the valiant of their souls.

18. DID THE CONCLUSION SATISFY YOU? Yes, I think that is the most inspired horror novel that I ever read because shows a “weird teens” how destroy their fears and teach they, that the only way of solution is confronts the obstacle using all the tools that you need.

19. DID YOU ENJOY READING THE BOOK? WHAT ASPECTS OF THE BOOK GAVE YOUR PLEASURE, AND WHY? Obviously, I´m a big fan of Stephen King because he has a different form to write a horror novel, for example the specially describe for all the moments. The aspect that gave me pleasure is when the writer describe the childhood of the characters, because I feel identify with Bill because he was a shy boy that suffers bullying, and his friends defeats him.
