Leadership is an aspect which is crucial in life and which we encounter every day in our lives. In order to exercise leadership over a group of people or an organization, a leader needs to have a vision that is driving them to exercise the mandate bestowed upon them effectively. A leadership vision has to define ones past, address what the future holds and then handle the today realities. Therefore a leadership vision has to go beyond the mission of an organization and even the vision of oneself. The vision has to be lived by every associated stakeholder daily. A vision also has to inspire loyalty among the employees, inspire commitment, enthusiasm, and excitement among organization members. For a vision to effectively be exercised, the associated parties have to believe that within the organization, they feature in a major course and internalize that on a daily basis as they carry out their daily work("You Can't Be a Real Leader Who People Want to Follow Without Vision," 2019). This vision should serve as the reason as to why the people take such course of action. Therefore my vision for leadership is to be able to consistently lead with integrity, humility, fairness and with honest and clear communication, to develop and mentor those around me to the best of my ability. In 5 years much will have changed, and different aspects of life would have presented themselves in that period. By this time in the future, I expect to be in an organization with a higher rank exercising my leadership skills on the other subordinate staff within the organization. Therefore from my vision as a leader, by this time and I want to make sure that I have succeeded in exercising and instilling integrity in all those I come across in my jurisdiction. I want to be a leader who can be looked up to in terms of presentation and in dealing with issues concerning the organization. I want to ensure the employees are motivated, excited and committed to the course of our organization for better growth and development.

In the near future people will be looking up to me due to the quality of leadership I will be exercising by this time. My leadership will be decorated with commitment and integrity in my line of duty. I will encourage people to embrace and appreciate what they do. The reason for this is not only to enhance the growth and development of the organization but also to develop the people to be better people to be able to lead even for the future to come. I will be in the front line leading as an example to carry out day-to-day activities within the organization. I want to be associated with every success of the organization by taking responsibility for the organization as my own. For a leader to be able to deliver effectively, they have to possess a range of skills to help them in their course. Therefore for my case, a delegation would be a vital skill to my leadership ("You Won't Get Far as a Leader Without These Skills and Qualities," 2019). I will integrate others and allocate duties and roles to a particular course, and with the divided work there is a faster accomplishment. In this delegation, I would consider the employees' skills and their strengths and set expectations to motivate them to the course. Another aspect is creativity where I would ensure I think critically, brainstorm on issues and solve the problems. My leadership will also be based on accountability, where my team and I will take responsibility for the actions in the course of work. Finally, communication is a crucial aspect I will incorporate in my leadership to ensure that I can convey information and give instructions effectively in my delegation. From these qualities, I believe people will look up to me and admire my leadership. In the current system of leadership, leaders have been known to maximize personal gain rather than serve the people and carry out assigned duties. Furthermore, some of the today leaders delegate almost all their duties to their secretaries or personal assistants. They do not want to tire for the course. However, I would like to change that perception and be a leader to be

looked up to. In order to leverage my leadership, I would take part in the daily duties of the organization or on the group of people and work with them for a better course. I would not like to sit on the sidelines delegating all duties and then take credit for success but rather be part of the success or failure realized. In conclusion, leadership is not just a calling but an urge to serve. The leadership qualities have to be if practiced if any success is to be realized out of a course. Personal gain or development should come after a while of service, and people can attest that you have worked. Interacting with employees also improves the respect and motivation to the employees and with that many aspire to be like you and soon become better leaders.
