SUBJECT MATTER: a. Topic: Euphemisms Concept: Euphemisms are polite expressions used in place of words or phrases that otherwise might be considered harsh or unpleasant to hear. There are three types of Euphemisms, Euphemisms to soften an expression (e.g. passed away instead of died), Euphemisms to be polite (e.g. adult beverages instead of beer or liquor), and Euphemisms to be impolite (e.g. blow chunks instead of vomited) b.
