If I were Mariana the character based on the short story titled Mariana by Erni Aladjai, I would have done three changes to make my life better. First of all, I would practice more and have a strong belief in my religion. This would make me improve so much more of myself as a person. Having a strong belief in my religion would make myself stay positive and calm especially during situations such as getting bullied by your classmates at school and having a very difficult life with your family. Secondly, I would make more friends at school. This is so that I will always have a friend to listen, support and speak up about any problems in my life. Besides that, I can also spend my time with people who can make me feel good about myself. Having friends can also avoid myself from being lonely and depressed when needed. Thirdly, I would focus more on learning to improve myself. For example, I would take up classes such as martial arts to learn how to defend and protect myself on certain situations. Other than that, I would put in a lot of effort to study hard to have better and brighter future so that I could help my family financially in the future. Therefore, these are the three changes I would make If I were Mariana to have a better life....
