Description

1. Business Needs: Using the information in the scenario, identify at least two major business needs for SNHU Clothing and provide a one- to two-sentence description for each business need. What goals are driving SNHU Clothing forward? What challenges does SNHU Clothing face as an organization?

Being the Business Analysis for SNHU Clothing, it is my responsibility to identify two central business needs, what goals drive the company forward, and what challenges it faces as an organization. Regarding the company's needs, it is essential to realize that SNHU Clothing wants to obtain the other company that is going out of business because SNHU Clothing runs on a separate database from the other company. We need to understand what a database is; data collection is organized to serve many applications efficiently by centralizing data and controlling redundant data. Instead of storing data in separate files for each application, the data appears to be held in only one location—multiple applications for single database services (Laudon & Laudon, 2020). Now that we know what a database is, we can decide where to go from there. For SNHU Clothing, we use Microsoft Access. However, once we obtain the other company, we need to figure out how to connect the two. Therefore, we may need to get better software if we go down that road. We need database software (DBMS) to connect the two databases. In this instance, it is best to use Rational DBMS. Relational databases represent data as a twodimensional table (called relations). Tables can be referred to as files. Each table contains data about an entity and its attributes. Microsoft Access is a relational DBMS for desktop systems, while DB2, Oracle Database, and Microsoft SQL Server are relational DBMS for large mainframes and midrange computers. MySQL is a popular DBMS open source (Laudon & Laudon, 2020). What we want to achieve here is to grow over time. Although SNHU Clothing faces challenges, it could interfere with them becoming one, and it could cause over increasing. The product's diverisity may not be good enough, and product availability could be limited.
