Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that nanotechnology is just a concept a little bit far from what our technology today. I thought that it’s just science fiction and probably most of the public thinks of the same. However, reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now think/realize that the future is here. I have clearly underestimated what humans can do on this day and age. Now I know that nanoparticles are everywhere and none of us is safe from the effects of impacts on our environment. Remember that Filipino line that says, “walang malaki ang nakakapuwing.” The effects of nanotechnology in real time, can be dangerous and even destructive if not used for good. Like the “gray goo.” What if these nanomachines get out of hand and starts reproducing on its own and just destroys everything? Before, this would seem far-fetch but now, we can see the probability of this happening is higher than what we would expect.

ii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that nanotechnology would help us reshape the world, in a good way. Like how it did on the movie Kingsman 2, where nanotechnology was used to preserve the cells after being shot in the head. However, reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now think/realize that it really can change the world but not in the way it played out in my mind. It played out in my mind like how it did in the movie Big Hero 6. But

then again, like I said, nanotechnology is not sci-fi, it’s the reality and it does have realistic impacts. It can affect economic disruption and possible threat to the environment, security and even the public health. Nanotechnology can be weaponized. And given to the hands of evil intent, the consequences would be dire. iii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that having nano robots inside a human body would be cool and help the world understand more how things in our body work and this would help us on solving and curing some of the terminal illnesses our generation faces today. However, reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now think/realize that this is very dangerous. Like, what if the robots stopped working or have gone rogue? Or what if while the robots were still in the body, someone hacked the system or so? Nanotechnology can also be used in poisons, don’t you think? Designer poison that can kill a person without even leaving a trace. It genius, but horribly wrong. I think now, we can conclude that with nanotechnology being a reality, the only limit would be the imagination because now, I think that everything is possible. 3.
