Time log help for hours provided by CI...

Description

Please note, this is for reference and not a substitute for instructions from your CI. This course is constantly changing and as of August 22, 2020 different students have had different experiences with what the evaluators are being picky over. This is what worked for me on a Covid-19 and Disaster Preparedness topic over 4 different submissions of the time log until it was finally accepted. Date – Date you researched the item, did the interview, etc. Type: • • • •

Covid-19 Work Hours - Where you worked Webinar (Live) – URL of Webinar, Webinar (Recorded) – URL of webinar TOPIC NAME Research (Select Type from the Options such as Covid-19) Windshield Survey (Note: Someone has said that this is not an option to select in some versions of Qualtrics, so I suggest using TOPIC NAME Research (Select Type from the Options such as Covid-19) as the type, and putting Windshield Survey first in the Location and Contact. Once you submit all your items into the web form system (Qualtrics), and then sign it / put your student email into the email address for them to send it to you. It will come as a text email in a table format like this (I put the black-out boxes to protect personal info):

Scroll to the bottom of the message, and you may notice not all your hours show up. Its because Gmail clips the display length, so click this text that says View Entire Message

It will open the full message in a new window. From there you can print the email as a PDF or print a physical copy and then scan it, whatever. What I did was forward that message back to myself. So after clicking forward, and putting in my own student email as the recipient, I could edit the text in the tables. This allowed me to put in line breaks in the really long text areas like the APA citations (so the columns were narrower) to make it fit better onto a single landscape page. Then I printed that as a PDF. You could opt to shrink the size when you select print. Either way, once you’re ready to submit the time log here are some tips: In the submission form for the assessment, there is a place to put comments near the place you drop files or the button to upload files. Type something like this in the comments to the evaluator: This is the data sent from Qualtrics. I do not live in a regulated state, so it does not need to be a DocuSign PDF per the Course Instructor. Thank You. If you live in California…get help from your CI on the PDF for your time log (sorry)....
