Final Report Part 108...
below.
Figures 9.2.2-1,2: RCS placement on front and back of MTV There is one block of thrusters not shown on the picture on the left which is on the other side of the vehicle and the radiators on the picture on the right were hidden so that all of the thruster blocks were visible. In total, the MTV is equipped with eight blocks of RCS thrusters, making up a total of 32 thrusters on the vehicle. A delta-V budget for the RCS system on the MTV was created based on an initial propellant mass requirement of less than ten metric tons for attitude control. The delta-V budget is shown below with updated values for propellant and oxidizer mass based on analysis included in section 9.5.
Table 9.2.2-1: MTV Attitude Control Delta-V Budget The RCS system on the MTV includes 4.27 metric tons of hypergolic propellant and is capable of a total delta-V of just over 64 m/s.
The RCS thrusters on the MAV are also 125 N thrusters and are placed similarly to the thrusters on the MTV such that the MAV can control its attitude in all six directions. Placement of these thrusters are shown in the image below....
