Part A: Candidate proposal To be completed by the candidate Working title of my Extended Project. Present the topic to be researched in the form of a short statement/question/hypothesis with clear focus. Which factors contributed most to the higher Ebola fatality rate in West Africa in 2014?

 my initial resources will be Horizon Documentary – BBC, (2014) – produced by the BBC and contains information from reliable sources such as WHO. The Ebola Wars, Preston, R. (2014) – written by a recognised expert on Ebola.  the courses of study or area(s) of personal interest to which the topic relates I am studying Biology and Chemistry and intend to apply for Medicine next year. This project will give me the opportunity to develop knowledge and prepare for interviews. I will also try to develop skills required for university level research work. 

your intended product

A 5000-word report and a range of management and research documents to demonstrate the process. I shall produce a project log, a research log, essay plans and other documents which show I have monitored my project. My first essay plan indicates that I shall break my report into sections based on countries.
