One argument is that fossils and the fossil record can provide support for a biblical/Christian perspective of creation. This is perspective is supported by the billions of fossils found in the Earth’s rock layers. For a dead organism to become fossilised, it must be covered by mud quickly. An event that can account for the large number of fossils discovered around the world is a worldwide flood which is documented in the bible in Genesis chapter 7 verse 6 – 10.
