Argumentative Essay Should Pluto be a planet? Intro Paragraph Hook (pick 1) ✓shocking fact ✓scenario ✓rhetorical question
Context ✓what is the issue ✓why is it important ✓Use relevant schema
Thesis
When it comes to the universe, we usually don’t define things based on their location, but that’s just what’s happening to poor pluto. There’s a disagreement among scientist whether pluto should or should not be a planet. Pluto should be a planet because the arguments made against pluto are weak because they lack clarity and, other planets in pluto’s position would not clear the orbital path.
✓1 sentence with two unique reasons
Body Paragraph 1 A- Answer ✓focus on reason 1
C- cite evidence ✓relevant quote for reason 1 ✓Cite title and author
E- explain Mean ✓paraphrase the quote
Matter ✓Explain HOW the evidence connect to thesis. ✓Use schema
Body Paragraph 2
A Reason why pluto should be a planet is because the arguments made against pluto are weak because they lack clarity. To better understand the situation according to “Why Pluto Should Be A Planet” by Document3 “Something that small just shouldn’t be a planet.Of course , they couldn't just come out and say that, so they came up with this idea about clearing the neighborhood a nice , vague, easily debatable term.)”This quote reveals that the reasons for pluto not being a planet is very weak and that the opposing side really doesn’t have a very good reason to go against that pluto should not be a planet. Therefore the analysis of this evidence reveals that pluto should be considered a planet and that the reasons for pluto should not be a planet are extremely very weak only against of that specific reason. Another reason why pluto should be a planet is that

other planet’s position would not clear the orbital path.To better understand the situation according to “ Why pluto should be a planet” by document 3 “Obviously if little continues to intersect the orbit of p neptune , every few hundred years neptune hasn’t done enough to clear the neighborhood “(document3). This quote reveals that if neptune is within the orbital path of pluto and neptune shouldn’t be considered a planet as well. Therefore, the analysis of this evidence reveals that people should now realize that pluto should be considered a planet. This now meant that pluto should be a planet because its orbital path is being intersected by other planets.
Some may say that pluto should not be a planet because there are many other objects similar to pluto in the solar system. This could be because if pluto was included in the solar system and was considered a planet then all other objects in the kuiper belt should also be included as planets. However, this is incorrect because imagine that you have to study a solar system quiz and you sit there .And wonder if your teacher is trying to torture you because there are so many planets in the solar system who should you blame your teacher or the people who said that pluto shouldn’t be a planet. If you said the people who agreed that pluto should not be a planet then I would agree with you because that’s a lot of planets to study. And if you didn't add those you would have much easier studying. Also this means that when having to study you would just have to study 9 planets and prove that pluto should be considered a planet. It is clear that pluto should be a planet. While the other side feels that pluto should not be a planet because it doesn’t have a clear orbital path, this is weak and not true because all planets don’t have a clear orbital path.
Revisit the argument ✓readdress the opposition and it’s weakness
