Presentación: Good afternoon, I’m Felix Valeriano, I’m studying network engineering at UTP. I enjoy English lessons as language is an important tool for my professional development.

JOB INTERVIEW Ana: Good Afternoon, Mr. Valeriano. I’m the recruiter of Hi-Tech Company Software Solutions Ltd. Thanks for coming to the selection process for the position of Junior Hardware & Networking Engineer. First of all, tell me about yourself.

Xxx: Nice to meet you, Ms. MENDOZA Thank you for this opportunity. I have just finished my career in Network engineering. I’m doing a specialization in routing/switching methods. I have previous job experience in this field where I was able to execute many projects. Ana: why did you leave your previous position?

Felix: Well, I must say that a good professional has to keep on learning more and more, so it was the right time to move on and search for a more specialized position. I’m quite interesting in the job description you are offering. Ana: What do your former co-workers say about you?

Felix: Fortunately, I have learnt to work in groups and be tolerant. My ex co-workers and I enjoyed a good working environment. Once, my closest co-worked said that I was a good leader and an easygoing college. Ana: Have you done any specialization recently?

Felix: Yes, I have attended two seminars at Universidad de Ingenieria of Lima about

cyber security and Maintenance of IT network. I will probably study a master in development of network infrastructure, that subject makes me excited, because I would like to provide isolate areas with internet access. Ana: What do you want to work for this Company?

Felix: To be honest, I didn´t know about your company as it is a foreign one. However, while I was doing some research for a university assignment, I found out that your company is better known for working with an excellent set of procedures in this field. I mean I was totally surprised by your updating technology. Ana: Tell me, why should we hire you?

Felix: First of all, I enjoy challenges, I’m capable of learning how to use your technology as soon as possible. Also, I have previous experience and knowledge that your company will take advantage of. I’m an ethical professional with good problem-solving skills and above all, I enjoy working hard and achieving goals. Ana: Do you have any questions for me?

Felix: Yes, I do. If I have the chance to get this job, what would be my duties? I mean I would like to know specifically how I will be productive and useful for your company. Ana: I see. We will discuss about that when you receive your results.
