8-Write an evaluation of three different note taking methods. Note-taking is one of the most effective practice or routine which is applicable mostly to students and even professionals as a help for them while studying or plan to taking examinations. It is a common technique where in the student will be recording relevant information and ideas from different sources like newspapers, articles, blog posts, reading textbooks, encyclopaedias, and other materials. By doing this, the student is recording the idea in the sense that on the later moment or tomorrow, the student can recall the information and the necessary answers during his or her examination or test. Basically, note-taking also have different methods and types for the students to randomly used and explore. The common note-taking methods are outlining method, mapping method and charting method. These methods are just ones of the commonly used methods by students when taking down notes because it will be easier for them to recall information and ideas without memorizing all of it. First, outlining method, accordingly, is the traditional method for taking down notes. This method usually includes numbers or bullets to list necessary information, which is applicable when ideas are enumerated or includes more than two items. It is an organized system especially when a student knows how to write information according to outlining method. To make your notes more visually interesting, use different coloured pens or highlighters to emphasise crucial ideas. You can use different coloured typefaces if you're taking notes on a computer. This method is useful for me, because I could find the key word when I need it. Second is the mapping method which uses concentration or comprehension skills of the students because it needs an extra careful consideration on the elements which should be related to each other especially with facts and necessary ideas. It is like a graphic presentation of the important ideas, content and lectures you needed which would give you a clearer picture. It develops in the students the critical thinking and immediate knowledge required when taking down notes. labels to highlight important pages or paragraphs within the text. Its help me to know which part is more important to focus. The last commonly used method is the charting method. It is a method wherein the students can include in the note taking the needed tables, columns, and labelling for them to understand information better than ever. It is like categorizing important information which belongs to its appropriate place or group. This method helps the students track information and would reduce the amount of time in writing. Generally, there is no such thing as perfect method or technique in note taking if the student or the learner feels comfortable in taking down notes for his or her benefits. It always helps organize ideas and information for the students to always look back whenever needed. What makes it accustomed for students to practice note taking is their interest in doing it and practicing it properly....
