Reflection 5

Conformity is seen as a change in a person’s behavior or opinions as a result of real or imagined pressure from another person or group of people. I remember a couple weeks ago, I attended a bringing in the bystander facilitator training and they talked about a bystander is and how much a bystander can affect an event or prevent an issue. In this training we talked about the stories in which people were bystanders of the events but never did anything for the victim. The bystanders that witnessed this event were two girls, an RA, the girl’s roommates, other guys, people in the hallway and people in the streets. Or they could have at least called the police if there was a possible chance that they would be putting themselves at risk for going through the same thing. I learned that conformity can be dangerous in certain situations, conformity is neither good or bad, it is important to watch how we practice such....
