Read the poem and analyze. 1. What is the message of the poem?  The message of the poem is all about our love of our country and our own language. Our language is our powerful weapon towards freedom and liberty against the colonizers that ruled our country before, especially the Spaniards. And that we should not feel inferior to other languages against the colonizers that ruled our country before, especially the Spaniards because it is a Gift given to us from God. 2. Describe your feelings after reading the poem, explain the relevance.  After reading the poem, I feel guilty and bad because in our generation we are slowly neglecting our own language tend to be idolize by other country’s culture and goods instead of our own. We are confined to the culture of other country and we are gradually being colonized by them again. History do really repeat itself.  Its relevance to the poem is we forget our love for our country and language contrary to what Rizal stated in his poem. He fought and died because of his love of his country and language yet here we are forgetting and idolizing other countries’ culture. Our language and culture still inferior to other foreign countries in our own country....
