Reflection Paper Chapter 8 Levi Mann I would call myself very motivated. I can usually find the inspiration to continue in my area of study by simply looking at a picture or reading a quote. I believe one of the best ways to achieve the dreams and aspirations we have for ourselves is by being properly motivated and inspired. There are several little things I do each day that remind me of my end goal, and motivate me to get through the tedious work necessary to achieve my dreams. Every morning when I wake up, while eating my breakfast, I sit and just think about how my day is going to be great, and ask myself how I will act during the day to step closer to my goals. In my room, where I do most of my homework, I have decorated it with posters that inspire me to keep pushing through all of the difficulties. For instance, right next to my desk, on the wall, I have a poster of both a Space Shuttle launch, and the Apollo 11 launch. This reminds me that ideas and the imagination can become large enough to take us to the moon and back. Next to these launch posters, I have two signed pictures of astronauts. This brings everything into reality. There are actual human beings that have been to space, and I have shook the hand, and talked with one. And at one point in her life, she was sitting in a room studying and struggling through college just as I am now! At the head of my bed, I have the famous picture of Buzz Aldrin to keep even the dreams of my sleep focused on my goals. Another way that I motivate myself is by placing my 5-year plan, and goals for each semester on the back of my door. This allows me to focus on what I am doing now and plan ahead for what I want to be doing. One of the last ideas I had for motivation is a quote bar on my desk. This is where I put the most meaningful quotes I have encountered. I know I will become an astronaut one day. I know this because I have properly motivated myself to always be thinking about that dream and the end goal!...
