Description

Chapter 4 – Reflection Paper Most college students these days don’t get very much sleep! It is a known fact that there are three important aspects to a college student, social experiences, academics, and sleep. Most of the time it is hard to emphasize all three, and sleep is usually the student doesn’t get very much sleep. But is this the best way to go through college? Does staying up all night to cram for a test the next morning prove to be a good technique in passing the class? I would say that I am an exception when it comes to the way college students prioritize their lives. I believe that sleep is one of the most important activities. I workout almost every day, and without sleep, I would not be able to recover. Because I try to get around 8 hours of sleep per day, I am able to stay rested, alert and awake throughout the whole day! I have learned that prioritizing sleep has allowed me to succeed in academics, as well as maintaining healthy relationships and social experiences. Before I figured this out, I would do what others would do. Who wants to sleep when there are other things to do? I used to hang out with friends late, and continue to stay up late because I had to study, and do homework that was due the next day. Sleep was definitely in the back of my mind. And it affected the way I functioned. I hardly had the energy to get me through the day, or even think about working out. My health, social life, and grades were all taking a toll. But now that I have learned to prioritize sleep, I am able to make the best of life, and experience more than most college students!...
