INTRODUCTION The 18th edition of the National Craft Day, or 'Hari Kraf Kebangsaan' (HKK 2020), focuses on people's socio-economic empowerment. On February 27, 2020, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Ardasher Qodiri, participated in the official opening of the National Craft Day 2020 (HKK 2020) at the "Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex" in Malaysia's capital, on the initiative of the "Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation." The yearly event, held till March 9 at Kompleks Kraf on Jalan Conlay, also strengthens the Kraf Komuniti Ku (KKK) mission to enhance local communities as well as their distinctive goods and traditions under the One District One Industry (SDSI) programme. Kraftangan Malaysia now has 5,775 craft enterprises from various sectors and 20,000 KKK members. HKK2020 is organized to honour all local craft entrepreneurs for their efforts and commitment to promoting and expanding the craft sector, which benefits the national economy. It also intends to promote the goods of Malaysian craft businesses from all throughout the country straight to consumers. In other words, it is an important forum for craft businesses to meet and connect with consumers in order to gain direct feedback from them. This event was chosen because handicrafts have an essential part in expressing the culture and customs of any country or area. Handicrafts are an important medium for preserving rich traditional art, heritage, and culture, as well as traditional skills and abilities related to people's lifestyles and histories. Handicrafts, on the other hand, are extremely essential in terms of economic growth. They provide extensive job prospects despite little capital inputs and have emerged as a significant source of foreign profits.

Depending on the event, that goal could be ticket sales, participation, funding, charitable donations, or something else entirely. Event promotion is essential in order for the event to accomplish its aims. The organizer of the event could plan the most exciting event this side of the century, but it will all be pointless if no one knows about it. Promotion, like marketing, aims to address the what, when, where, and how of an event in order to ensure that people are aware of and want to participate. As for this event, social media has become the main platform for promoting it. Social media plays a huge role in elevating and gaining the interest of the people to join and take part in the event. Facebook has become the first medium to promote the event since Facebook is a well known social media platform that is being used by most people worldwide. Everyone can surf the website to look for any details, including the background of the company, the board of directors, all the events detail especially for National Craft day 2020 and many more.
