At the end of the lesson, you should be able to know the different effects of textual aids on the understanding of different reading materials. Textual Aids - Text aids, also called text features, are visual elements on a page that stand out from the main text.





1. GRAPHS - visual comparison of data and information in a bar/pie/line format. - to help us read facts and figures in a short amount of time. (PAGE 29) 2. MAPS - are drawings that shows the basic shape of the land and other geographical, political historical features. - to help the reader to understand where an event happens, how far an event took place. 3.TABLES - organize large amount of information in a small space. - helps the reader to compare information in the text. 4.
