The given example is an intervention based on transitivity. Transitivity is the stimulus equivalence that derives from two other stimulus equivalences (Cooper et al., 2020). In other words, it is the equivalence between stimuli A, B and C: if the learner knows or is trained that A=B and B=C, then, as a result, the learner will be able to know that also C=A. In other words the patient is learning that speaking a name, visually seeing written down and seeing a picture of the person whose name they are leaning is equivalent to the relationship with the third one.
