Professor Hullender and Class, Critical thinking is assessed through problem-solving and learning how to make decisions. For example, I would have students think of a time, past or present and have them associate their thoughts with the topic at hand. It could be over a book that was read. This way, I would assess how they come to their conclusions by their answers. Assessing critical thinking could even involve the students solving a hypothesis and determine whether it is true or not. The students would provide their evidence and the reasoning on how and why they thought this way. This can be used in any subject area. Critical thinking unlocks deeper thought and connections to their environment which surrounds them on a daily basis....
