Interviewee: I worked there for around nearly 6 years in-charge of anti-trafficking programming and labor migrations but before [inaudible] I resign, I work for the UNHCR, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, despite I return back from Hongkong for three years with UNHCR. And then, back in Hongkong I was ah, eight years living in Hongkong from the year of 2000 to 2007, and in the beginning of January 2008, I moved to Indonesia. And now back here.
Interviewer: Right, and you said you work in NGO before?
Interviewee: I work in Hongkong for a regional NGO School Asian migrant center. That's exactly during the year of 2000 to 2007 when I'm here.
Interviewer: What did that organization do?
Interviewee: Yeah, Asian Migrant Center is basically regional NGO's. Just some hobbies in Hongkong we're doing a lot of advocacy policy and we also doing, you know, conducting research, we probably seeing Asian Migrant Europe and then we do a lot of capacity building programming for the NGO's. But some of my responsibility that time was actually in-charge of domesting workers programming so I am doing a lot of work in Hongkong like 50% of my time do work in Hongkong but another 50% is I'm doing work in Taiwan and then Singapore and also in Indonesia, some part Malaysia and South Korea. In collaboration with NGO's partner in a country where I'm visiting.
Interviewer: So you have a good understanding, both from a local level (Interviewee: Yes across the world) and the NGO and also international level [inaudible] and .. Great. So one of the questions I've had, if you know, I wanted to try to get a sense of when the migration start for domesting workers from Indonesia? I know it may probably else....
