It is important because it can be use as a form of regulation by having multiple people read it prior to it being published as accurate and factual. 6. What are some types of credible resources to use for academic research? Journal articles, peer reviewed documents and books 7. Why are citations important? It shows where you gathered your information and prevents you from plagiarism. 8. What information should a reference citation include? The name of the book, article or source; the name of the author and the date it was published. 9. What does a permalink allow one to do? It allows the reader to go directly to the source.
