WALMART Summary of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats

Many companies are finding ways to develop and expand their businesses. There are many issues to consider. This research is used to build strategies, or we can claim the potential collection of Wal-Mart strategies. SWOT analysis to assess their strengths, vulnerabilities, opportunities and risks, to analyze the future growth of their company and to adapt accordingly. It shows that Wal-Mart provides plenty of incentives for growth.

The strengths that the researcher saw in the case study are; (1) Wal-Mart's products and services can offer a broader product portfolio than any other retailer. Among several other categories, it markets food, entertainment, health and wellbeing, apparel and home-related items and provides both branded and own label goods. Offering a wide range of goods and services in one shopping experience makes it easier for people to obtain everything they need. (2) Wal-Mart 's daily low-pricing policy is popular for every customer because that's what every buyer needs to purchase low-priced goods. Consumers have widely viewed the firm as the general merchandise retailer with the lowest daily prices. (3) Technological evolutions improve the production and activity of Wal-Mart. In strength, the size of Wal-Mart allows it to stand up to threats despite its weaknesses.

The weaknesses that Wal-Mart should focus on are; (1) Every year, Walmart faces labor related lawsuits that cost the company millions of dollars. It's being criticized for poor working conditions, low wages, unpaid overtime work and discrimination against women. Aside from the costs of lawsuits, the image of the corporation has been weakened and less professional employees are willing to work for it. (2) Lack of empowerment of female workers, they are treating their female and male workers unequally, and; (3) Wal-Mart's Negative Publicity, which makes people hate them ad, affects their brand even though it dominates the world over. The organization is often blamed for its questionable practices, and its negative advertising hurts the image of corporations worldwide. The opportunities that Wal-Mart should take action are;

(1) Location preference, Wal-Mart has a lot of shops all over the world and they are fantastic at positioning shops where they can get a lot of customers, expanding their stores in developing countries.

(2) Increasing the business culture, Wal-Mart has its own culture and will continue to develop it

(3) Wal-Mart 's demand for discounters is known for its low-cost products. They have worked for it to reach the expectations of the customers and to gain loyal clients.

Threats that the researcher found are; (1) Critics and other people's bad mouthing makes Wal-Mart a threat because it has an immense effect on their profits. (2) Increased product prices will certainly have an impact on Wal-Mart production, since knowing that they have lower prices than regular ones. Increasing the goods would improve the corporate picture. (3) Increased rivalry, the goal of the Wal-Mart rivals is to reduce price differentials between them. Being number one in this sector clearly means that you are the focus of local and global competition. SWOT Matrix
