1. Should we consider A. Bonifacio as the First President of the Philippines? why or why not? Upon reading the articles and watching the videos, my position will remain unchanged, which is that Andres Bonifacio should be considered as our first president because he is the father of the Philippine Revolution and was capable of inspiring a large number of Filipinos to the cause. Personally, I believe Andres Bonifacio should be the first president of the Philippines because he was also the President of the Tagalog Republic, which served as the leading light to the Philippine Republic, and therefore deserves the position. He was an advocate for social justice, in contrast to Emilio Aguinaldo, who won presidency through a treasonous strategy, and many of his compatriots during that time period. Andres Bonifacio also advocated for more honesty and integrity in the government system, considered a better life condition and pushed back against social injustice imposed out by Spain. In addition, Andres Bonifacio should be elected as the country's first president rather than Emilio Aguinaldo, for the simple reason that they do not share the same viewpoint. In accordance with the article, Bonifacio arrived at the meeting with the goal of addressing the differences that existed between the Magdalo and Magdiwang. Aguinaldo, on the other hand, desired the dissolution of the Katipunan and the establishment of a revolutionary government. Lastly, I believe that a President should be someone like him because he possesses solid experience gained from his years of experience. He is also the one managing his own family business and operating with British and German merchants. He has a vision for the country, and if he were to receive sufficient support from his fellow Filipinos without being judged, he would make an outstanding President of the Republic of the Philippines. 2. Is the Tejeros convention, a convention of status quo and discrimination? Tejeros Convention is one of the most important gatherings of the Katipuneros throughout the Spanish Colonial Period. Specifically, it showed the dispute between both the Magdiwang and Magdalo alliances developed into a major conflict during the revolution. Moreover, it illustrates the Katipunan's government structure and internal politics. After watching the videos and reading the article, I could indeed conclude that there was a status quo and discrimination during the Tejeros convention. After all was said and done, according to the Kara David's documentary, the participants voted, with Emilio Aguinaldo being elected as President and Andres Bonifacio being elected as the Director of the Interior but Daniel Tirona believed said that Bonifacio lacked the necessary education for the position and suggested that a lawyer be appointed in his place, which I believe is a form of discrimination against Andres Bonifacio. In addition, Mariano Alvarez stated that the voters had already been duped by the Imus crowd, who had secretly spread the message that they must not be led by a man who is not even a Caviteno, implying that they should vote for Aguinaldo rather than Bonifacio because Aguinaldo is from Cavite.

In general, I believe that what happened at the Tejeros convention was full of discrimination and status quo. They discriminated Andres Bonifacio solely on the basis of his poverty, claiming that he was unfit to run for politics and because they are wealthy, they can easily manipulate the people by using their money and buy votes allowing them to win and maintain their power and wealth at all costs even though it is treacherous method....
