This role is in the Group’s London service office. Job Purpose This is an amazing opportunity to get you immersed into the marketing world and ideal for a marketing student to transfer their knowledge into a dynamic working environment. The experience gained during your placement will be invaluable but with the ability to get involved and gain insight and exposure within an amazing company. This is an opportunity not to be missed. Our placement will cover 3 areas of our marketing teams: Brand and Advertising, TV Programming and SEO. You’ll be rotated across all 3 areas with a key project along the way and of course the opportunity to have lots of fun. The Departments Brand & Advertising The Brand & Advertising team is the first point of call for branding, developing effective integrated ad campaigns and creative projects, globally. We use our expertise to help make every creative brief the best it can be, develop the creative (or help get it developed externally), and project/client manage the entire process from beginning to end. As an integral part of the in-house creative agency ‘Stars Creative’, you’ll be

working very closely with other departments including the Production Studio, Digital Marketing Team, Mobile, Social Media, and many more. TV Programming The TV Programming department is responsible for managing, producing, editing, localising and distributing Poker TV shows and Online Videos, including the live streams of the European Poker Tour (EPT) that are produced or sponsored by PokerStars. The department creates and produces the EPT TV Show & Shark Cage series (both on Channel4) as well as a host of online shows including The Bonus Cut and Inside PokerStars. Experience in this department would include integration into the post production process for promotional videos and TV shows, creative thinking for new formats, both Live Environment Poker programming and Internet poker programming, strategic thinking for short-form video content creation and distribution and a full understanding of how TV and video is used as a key marketing tool to drive acquisition, re-activation and retention. SEO The Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) team is responsible for driving traffic through search engines by producing and distributing content that is useful for readers and relevant for search engines. You will be actively involved in some the most important stages of the search engine optimization process, both off site and on site. During your placement, your core responsibilities will include collaborating with the SEO production, marketing and operation team functions. You will learn how search engines work and the foundation for getting a website to the top of the search engines results. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting online marketing campaigns and learn some of the most effective content marketing strategies. You’ll be a key player and a valued member of each team you work in. You’ll be getting your hands dirty from strategic planning to delivery, and campaign effectiveness.
