III. Global Organizational Forms (Multinational Firms) A. Briefly describe and provide an example of the Ethnocentric Form.

Ethnocentric Form in general is based on a belief of superiority in one’s personal ethnic group, racial, or religious differences. Ethnocentrism is the tendency to look at the world primarily from the perspective of one's own culture. Ethnocentric individuals tend to see themselves more superior than any other culture. This is similar in the business world as well, where business is done domestically and internationally in regions that are highly ethnocentric so consumers would be more likely to purchase their domestic product or items that perceive the same cultural similarities as the ethnocentric individuals. An example of this form would be Honda, who began their international trade with an ethnocentric approach by selling its vehicles exactly as they were made in their home market, Japan. B. Briefly describe and provide an example of the Polycentric Form .

Polycentric form is when the company has an equal importance to the country’s domestic market; meaning that companies using the polycentric form would use multiple marketing strategy and adapt their brands to build an appeal in multiple countries. An example would be to be technological advanced or make production costs low and affordable. Certain companies that follow this form would be Ford Motors, Suzuki, and many other automobile industries using different types of parts through varying countries. C. Briefly describe and provide an example of the Geocentric Form. The Geocentric form is based on a transnational firm that uses a global marketing strategy and is world oriented. Its main target is to global consumers that have similar tastes, and is practically to borrow from each country what is best for the customers. An example of geocentric form would be the European Silicon Structures, which has many different facilities in different areas such as its headquarters in Munich, research facilities in England, and its factory in France....
