A Small Detail that May Be A First Step to Live My Hopes Bayfront Park is located at 301 N. Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33132. The park is bordered on the north by Bayside Marketplace and American Airlines Arena, on the south by Chopin Plaza, on the west by Biscayne Boulevardand and on the east by Biscayne Bay. Bayfront Park is host to many important events, such as New Year's ball drop, Christmas celebrations, concerts, the Bayfront Park Amphitheater, the Tina Hills Pavilion, as well as boat rides around Biscayne Bay. The hours of attention of the parks are from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m. at 11:00 p.m. The construction of the park began in 1924 under the design plans of Warren Henry Manning, and was officially inaugurated in the month of March of the year 1925. From 1980, the park was redesigned by the Japanese-American artist and landscaper, Isamu Noguchi. Bayfront Park is currently maintained by Bayfront Park Management Trust, a limited agency in the city of Miami, Florida. On February 15, 1933, the mayor of Chicago, Anton Cermak, died of three shots to the chest while shaking the hand of President-elect Franklin D. Roosevelt in front of Bayfront Park. The murderer was Giuseppe Zangara. In addition to Cermak, who died of his injuries nineteen days later, four other people were hit by the gunman, one of whom also died. It has been seriously debated whether Zangara had been really trying to assassinate Roosevelt instead of Cermak; however, there is no hard evidence to prove this theory. Bayfront Park annually celebrates the city's “American's Birthday Bash” on Independence Day, which attracted more than 60,000 visitors in 2011. The park also hosts the official New Year's Eve party in the city that every year receives more than 70,000 visitors. The

visitors are encouraged to take public transportation to events at Bayfront Park as parking can be scarce and expensive. Although, in these days the visitants usually use the famous services of Lift and Uber. But the nearest Metrorail station is still famous: Government Center. From the Metrorail, there is a connection to the Metromover available with three stops near the park, Bayfront Park, First Street and College / Bayside. The parquet also carries out the Ultra Music Festival whose duration is three days and has seen the attendance of 55,000 people each day and 165,000 people on the final day of the festival. This year Bayfront Park hosted the American Ninja Warrior qualifiers and finals; by the way, the main reason I decided to come to this park was because a friend was one of the participants in the American Ninja Warrior. Bayfront and Museum Parks have a yoga program that offers a series of classes for all yogis. They are developed outdoors next to the bay, these classes offer a spectacular atmosphere to relax, breathe and stretch together. To participate in the classes, you must be over 18 years of age and sign an exemption. Registration is done in order of arrival and the instructor will determine when the class is “full.” You must bring your own yoga mat, water and towel. Bayfront Park is a reallynice place to hang out with friends and relax. Also, for have fun and to spend time with family. Great place to visit, shops, restaurants and a lot of entertainment by the water, great view of Biscayne Bay. With the aim of preserving the benefits that parks offer us, I have always felt the call to be an ecological volunteer, to contribute to the care of green areas, to take care of nature, the mother that sustains life. When I started to pick up all the waste that I found, I noticed that many people who were in the park began to look at me, many did as if I was half crazy, but others knew how to appreciate it, like a family that was doing picnic. The mother of the family called me when I was next to them, thanked me for what I was doing. She asked me why I did it, and

said to her young children that they had to take an example of what I was doing, because caring for nature is caring our own life. Fortunately, I had cleaned the area quite a lot when I started the conversation with this family, with whom I had the pleasure of speaking for more than half an hour. They were very generous with me, since they invited me to eat a fruit with them. I think they were very interested in some ideas that I shared about global ethics and the care of the environment. I tell them that we fear the responsibility of taking care of the other, of trying not to harm, and that this can begin with the promotion of environmental values, that although; Bayfront Park does not have a critical situation. I could distinguish that irresponsible citizens who leave trash everywhere, perhaps they do not have a restless conscience in this sense. The family with whom I was sharing told me that what I had done surely helped many to realize how simple and necessary it is to take care of natural establishments. After this experience I have felt very satisfied, happy to contribute to the sustainable development of the city of Miami, a small detail that may be a first step to live my hopes. I think we should grow a lot in these environmental issues and that initiatives that really contribute to progress should be promoted. For example: carry out training workshops for teachers and students nationwide, train through public media about the handling of food, solid waste, garbage and water in the community, hold ecological fairs, they can even be granted credits that add up in the students' GPA for being an ecological volunteer in the city.
